Recent Congressional investigations have revealed that some university based physicians who receive research grants from the government (NIH) have not reported to the university or the government that they received pharmaceutical company payments as well. There is an implication that the pharmaceutical company payments may influence their research. What is your reaction to this?

2.6/11/2008 4:12:00 PMI don't think that pharmaceutical monies are a bad thing and I think it is ridiculous that the medical community is being forced (largely by non-practicing physicians) to make pariahs of those who accept pharmaceutical money for research and teaching.
