Some states are trying to pass laws that would require medical companies to publicly report all gifts to physicians. Are you for or against such a law?
#Response DateOther (please specify)
.1/30/2008 1:39:00 PMfor, IF this is true for other occupations beside healthcare too.
.1/30/2008 2:26:00 PMlets report everyones entire information and irs records etc. etc. -how absurd
.1/30/2008 3:19:00 PMImpractical. A dollar limit should be enforced; politicians should be included.
.1/30/2008 3:28:00 PMSTOP THE GIFTS
.1/30/2008 5:57:00 PMNo exceptionalism for physicians. We are entitled to the same liberties as all Americans. I did not surrender my citizenship when I became a doctor.
.1/30/2008 6:02:00 PMI suspect the legislation will be difficult to formulate, as "gifts" take so many forms
.1/30/2008 6:31:00 PMfor
.1/30/2008 7:40:00 PMFor, within reason. I think that small dollar limits of reporting (or no-limit reporting) is ridiculous. $50 per year in fair market value of gifts seems reasonable to me.
.1/30/2008 7:50:00 PMSee #15
.1/30/2008 10:37:00 PMIf this is done, I believe pharmaceutical samples should be excluded and not reported as a "gift". These are given to patients, and not to the physician per se.
.1/30/2008 11:11:00 PMno opinion
.1/31/2008 2:49:00 AMneutral, but if they do it for us, then do it for other businesses, too
.1/31/2008 6:10:00 PMGeneral population and daily press could use that for different purposes so I generaly against it
.1/31/2008 7:01:00 PMWhy not. If there is nothing to be ashamed about put it in the open
.1/31/2008 9:27:00 PMnormal freedom of information for anyone who wants it
.2/1/2008 7:38:00 PMsame as question 15.
.2/2/2008 3:59:00 PMOnly if all companies must do this for all clients - auto, etc.
.2/3/2008 10:05:00 AMagainst except gifts over $100 should be reported
